(741d) Perturbation Theory Based Equations of State: Review and Applications

Author

Chapman, W. - Presenter, Rice University
Advances in perturbation theory have resulted in some of the most versatile engineering models of fluid properties. phase behavior, and interfacial properties. These models allow prediction of the effects of molecular size and shape, multipolar interactions, ionic sites, and hydrogen bonding on fluid properties. In this talk, the basis for these advanced models will be described and applications will demonstrate capabilities of these models and opportunities for further development.
