(271a) My Journey As a Chemical Engineer in Coatings’ R&D

A chemical engineer wears hats from various disciplines based on the necessities in solving problems and does not limit to just “engineering”. In this talk, I will walk through some case studies related to projects in coatings’ R&D in which the chemical engineering training I received empowered me to wear a variety of hats from different disciplines viz. fundamental chemistry, material science, physics and engineering to design solutions in the areas of process engineering, polymer design, material characterization and product development. Some of these efforts resulted in improving manufacturing efficiency, capture IP, successful new product launch and most importantly increased my knowledge base and skill set further.
