- (341u) Evaluation of Electrification Potentials for Industrial Processes
First, electrification options are examined for their applicability. It is followed by analysis of energy system, with which Heat Integration is considered to fulfill maximum energy recovery. Grand Composite Curve enables the processes to be matched with proper utilities leading to efficient utilization of electricity, which is applied to the case study of industrial processes. The feasibility of industrial electrification for decarbonization is examined with the evaluation of energy cost and its impact on the energy system, particularly with the comparison between fossil fuel and renewable energy.
