Session: In-Silico Tools for Accelerating Pharmaceutical Process Development

The drug substance and drug product synthesis have become quite complicated over the last decade. A sole laboratory driven approach is no longer an efficient means to develop a synthetic route and/or unit operation. Moreover, many companies are pushing on next generation or rapid pharmaceutical process development. This session illustrates the advances made using in-silico tools to accelerate pharmaceutical process development. Contributions that incorporate process modeling with experimental designs to optimize product performance are encouraged for submission. For example, modeling approaches including CFD, DEM, PBM, Monte Carlo and other methods, pertaining to a particular unit operation, or technology are welcomed for this session.
