Session: Characterization of Continuous Drug Product Unit Operations

Continuous manufacturing (CM) is a rising paradigm in the pharmaceutical industry. In recent years, pharmaceutical companies, regulators, academia, and vendors have contributed to the evolution and progress of continuous drug product manufacturing. The session ‘Characterization of Continuous Drug Product Unit Operations’ will highlight recent developments in the characterization of individual CM unit operations as well as one or more integrated units. The session features talks related to specific unit operations and continuous trains, theoretical and/or experimental approaches, novel sensing methodologies, as well as case studies that highlight manufacturing and regulatory challenges involved in the continuous manufacturing of drug products.
