2019 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Applied Math for Energy and Environmental Applications

This is a broad solicitation for abstracts pertaining to application of mathematical modelling and/or numerical analysis techniques to applications related to energy and environment. Topics of interest include but are not limited to modelling, optimization and/or control of energy grids and energy systems, optimization under uncertainty of these systems, mathematical modelling of biological and chemical degradation processes affecting the environment, as well as distributed parameter systems arising in environmental applications. Contributions that identify unique numerical problems that arise in alternative energy sources such as solar cells, wind energy and address them with novel mathematical or numerical approaches are encouraged. Note that the abstracts will be split in appropriately named sessions at a later date.
