2019 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Advances in Biosensors and Biodiagnostics: Systems and Devices for Advanced Biosensing

Advances in Biosensors and Biodiagnostics: Systems and Devices for Advanced Biosensing. Sessions in Biosensors and Biodiagnostics will focus on cutting edge technologies to detect and diagnose disease. Development of novel materials, devices, and cellular and protein engineering methods that detect disease biomarkers and pathogens at low limits of detection will be highlighted. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: development and application of novel biosensors and biosensor devices; use of novel analytical methods; rapid or high-throughput approaches for biomolecular analysis and detection; targeted molecular imaging; and biomarker and disease detection. Systems and Devices for Advanced Biosensing focuses primarily on applying novel detection schemes or approaches to real world applications and device development.
