2019 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Advances in Biocatalysis : Bioprospecting and Enzyme Engineering

This session focuses on the development of new techniques in biocatalysis and biosynthesis of small molecules, including fine chemicals and natural products. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to: (1) Discovery, characterization, and engineering of enzyme reactions and biosynthetic pathways; (2) Rational and combinatorial manipulation of biosynthetic pathways; and (3) Development of activity screening methods and assays. Topics that cover the metabolic engineering of primary metabolites are better suited in the metabolic engineering sections.
