Session: Modeling and Engineering Cellular Communities

This session will focus on engineering cellular communities ranging from genetic manipulation of multi-organism interactions, to process manipulation and the division of labor among organisms for applications in health, food safety and the production of biochemicals. The methods for these efforts include metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, computational modeling and process engineering approaches.
