2018 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Materials and Processes for Thermo-, Electro- and Photo-Chemical Energy Storage

Energy storage is critical for utilization of renewable energies that vary significantly in their production with seasonality and weather, such as solar, wind, and hydrothermal power. Chemical bonds provide much higher capacity than other physical means for energy storage. This session solicits the latest research results of materials and processes for energy storage via thermo-chemical, electrochemical, or photochemical reactions, which include chemical-looping materials, batteries, and fuel cells.
