Isobaric vaporâliquid equilibrium (VLE) data for binary systems composed of 3-carene (monoterpene), p-cymene (monoterpene) and β-caryophyllene (sesquiterpene) were measured using a modified equilibrium still at 101.3 kPa. Both the Herrington method and Van Ness point-to-point method were adopted to confirm the thermodynamic consistency of the experimental VLE data, for which the test results showed good thermodynamic consistency. The experimental VLE data were correlated by Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC models and the binary interaction parameters were obtained. The deviations of bubble-point temperature and vaporâphase composition between calculated values and experimental values were small, which meeted both the require of engineering design and application.
