2017 Annual Meeting

Session: Novel Approaches to CO2 Utilization

This session will focus on the beneficial use of carbon dioxide (CO2) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere. The overall objective is to explore the wide range of uses for the CO2 resource and the technologies that can beneficially use CO2 to produce valuable products. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the conversion of CO2 to value-added chemicals, fuels, and polymers; bioconversions; reactions using CO2 as an oxidant; and CO2 mineralization. Converting CO2 into useful products can be valuable for reducing carbon emissions in areas where long-term storage of CO2 is not practical.
