Session: Industry Perspectives on Membrane Separations (Invited Talks)

The goal of this first-of-a-kind session is to invite speakers from across the industrial spectrum to provide a perspective on the potential and separation challenges faced by membrane technology. The authors are encouraged to provide specific examples/case studies on how a certain membrane technology was developed or is being developed for various separation applications. How it was successful or not successful; what were the key learnings. An emphasis on how industry values scalability, system economics, reliability etc. Finally, guidance to academia on what they see as they see as the potential and challenges for wider adoption of membrane technology.
