Session: Efficient Processing of Lignin to Bioproducts and Biofuels I

The current vision of biorefineries undervalues lignin’s potential to address the world’s product requirements. Utilizing lignin feedstock for production of high value bio-products along with biofuels offers a significant opportunity to enhance the overall operation efficiency, carbon conversion efficiency, economic viability, and sustainability of biofuels production. This technical session provides a platform for presentation of innovative research results and ideas related to the lignin conversion. The session covers valorization of lignin, depolymerization, and bio/chemical catalytic conversion to specific products.
