My research interests lie at the interface of materials science and chemically reacting systems for applications in energy and sustainable engineering. Most industrial processes involve gas-solid heterogenous reactions and the interplay between the solid material and the process provides a platform for interesting alternative processing pathways and enhanced performance. My future research vision involves engineering novel production processes for fuels and commodities that are of significant positive impact on society and the environment.
Research Interests:
High-temperature thermochemical processes for fuels and energy storage
C1 activation chemistry
Materials for high-temperature chemistry, photocatalysis, advanced semiconductors, and sensors
