2017 Annual Meeting
(187a) Development and Proving of an Information System
Authors
In the presentation, a comparison between the process and the manufacturing industry is developed using relevant criteria. This is followed by a critical assessment of modeling strategies employed in both industries with regard to the identification, preservation, distribution, development and collection of implicit and explicit knowledge of employees in the context of knowledge management. The consistent use of knowledge greatly supports the planning of the production and the achievement of stable operating conditions. As a result, the costs and time required for the production of the products are greatly reduced, thereby considerably increasing the competitiveness of the company. This is achieved by a high degree of automation. The presentation will be closed with the introduction and the proving of a developed information system in the manufacturing industry.
