Session: Soft Matter Electrokinetics: Particles, Drops, and Bubbles

Electric fields can be used to concentrate, pattern, and sort various sized colloidal particles for directed assembly of nanoparticles, or for droplet deformation. Electrokinetic phenomena such as electrophoresis, electroosmosis, dielectrophoresis, electrothermal flows, induced charge electrokinetics, and electrohydrodynamic, are at play during these processes leading to direct or indirect manipulation of particles, droplets, and bubbles. Fundamental and applied papers pertaining to the assembly or transport of particles, droplets and/or bubbles using electrokinetics or related physical phenomena are welcome. Papers that include microfluidics and colloidal crystallization are very desirable. In the submission clearly state the problem, motivation, and results.
