2016 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Electrokinetics and Microfluidics for Biomolecular Analysis

Remarkable progress has been made in the fabrication of micro/nanoscale devices for the manipulation and detection of organisms and biomolecules. This session focuses on integration and detection aspects related to the emerging concept of a ‘chip-in-a-lab’ as well as the more established ‘lab-on-a-chip’ systems includeing (but not limited to) platforms for uni/multicellular analysis, immunosensors, electrochemical sensors, and other spectroscopic and separation tools in a microchip format. We are particularly interested in papers dealing with micro/nanoscale systems and issues related to biochemistry, cellular, and systems biology. Experimental and theoretical contributions are welcome. In the submission, clearly state the problem, motivation, and results.
