Session: Advances in Bioreactions and Bioprocessing (Invited Talks)

The Advances in Bioreactions and Bioprocessing session provides a forum for cutting edge application of engineering, scientific to biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing. Featured speakers will cover advances in bioprocessing technology, challenges with developing novel modalities, and rapid development approaches to address emerging health threats. These advances rely on new approaches to bioreactions and downstream processing, synthetic biology, systems biology, and therapeutic development/characterization. These advances occur at the unit operation level (e.g. single use technologies and new processing methods), the device level (e.g. process analytical technologies, PAT), cellular level (alternate hosts), and molecular level through the use of optimized and novel media. Improvements in reaction and process modeling are also within scope of this forum.
