(299e) Quantum Dots Synthesis in Continuous Supercritical Micro-Millireactors
Authors
Coupling chemistry and chemical engineering approaches in supercritical fluids conducts to the design of high quality and unique nanostructures. This will be in particular illustrated in this oral presentation through the continuous production of quantum dots (inorganic nanocrystals) made of selenide, sulfide and nitrides (CdSe, core-shell CdSe@CdS, GaN, etc.).
Besides the advantages of microscale flows for the precise control of the obtained nanostructures characteristics, scaling up is also of great interest for realizing the promise of these nanomaterials in devices structures. We will therefore detail briefly some example of scaling (production of CdSe QDs in millifluidic supercritical reactors) demonstrating production rates of up to 1g/day.
