Session: Modeling, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, and Big Data in Pursuit of Medicine

Chemical engineers are at the forefront of applying fundamental techniques to intricate medicinal problems. This session celebrates the diversity mathematical modeling of reactions, transport phenomena, and/or thermodynamics as applied to a broad array of medically relevant systems on several length and time scales. New approaches, paradigms and/or systems for both fundamental advancement and biotechnological or medical applications are welcome. Theoretical and computational studies with an experimental component are encouraged.
