2015 AIChE Annual Meeting Proceedings
Session: DOE Quadrennial Technology Review
Booming domestic production of oil and natural gas, a tenfold increase in solar photovoltaic energy generation, and a doubling of wind power have drasticaly changed the United States' energy landscape over the last four years. Building upon the first Quadrennial Technology Review released in 2011, the 2015 Quadrennial Technology Review (QTR 2015) explores the rapidly-evolving nature of energy technology and scientific capability to address economic, environmental and security challenges that the United States faces. QTR 2015 examines promising research, development, demonstration, and deployment opportunities across energy technologies and identifies the important technology opportunities working toward a clean energy economy in the United States. Insight gained from this analysis provides essential information for decision makers as they develop funding decisions and strategic actions over the next five years. Join us for a presentation by Dr. Franklin (Lynn) Orr, Under Secretary for Science and Energy and a panel featuring experts familiar with the Quadrennial Technology Review.
