(647f) Integrating Scheduling and Control for a Mixed-Mode Process

The control of mixed-mode manufacturing operations that contain both batch units and continuous operations presents the challenge of synchronizing the continuous operations to the batch sequencing.  This presentation will describe an approach that has been applied to an industrial scale process.  Results will be presented and future research directions will be suggested.
