2014 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Stem Cells in Tissue Engineering

This session focuses on bioengineering approaches aiming to utilize embryonic stem cells, adult progenitor cells and induced pluripotent cells in tissue engineering applications. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: the design of novel agents or biomaterials supporting stem cell self-renewal or promoting cell differentiation towards a particular lineage; methods for the expansion and/or differentiation of embryonic stem cells and tissue-residing progenitor cells in scalable systems; studies on stem cell-derived tissue development and morphogenesis; and novel methods of transplantation or therapeutics.
