Session: Special Session: To Celebrate Prof. Mooson Kwauk's Career Long Accomplishments

Prof. Mooson Kwauk had dedicated his whole life to scientific research in fluidization and education. His prominent contributions to science and education will be immortal and be always cherished. Continuing his research in China, he became a cofounder of the Institute of Chemical Metallurgy, CAS. As an extension of his previous research field in USA, he proposed the theory of generalized fluidization for calculating fluidization in various combinations of solids and fluid flows. He supervised and carried out research on what evolved into the Energy-Minimization Multi-Scale (EMMS) method, which is now widely used in computational fluid mechanics (CFD) and other fields. He has been training young students to improve their scientific English, and published a book ‘‘Scientific Technical Writing’’. Besides, he organized scholars to write"" Handbook of Fluidization". In memory of his many accomplishments, this session will provide papers that demonstrates Mooson’s legacy in fluidization.
