Session: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Post Launch: Process Improvements and Process Learning

Developing and scaling-up a process for production of Pharmaceuticals is only the first part of the life-cycle of that Process in the Pharmaceutical Industry. The process must be transferred into the manufacturing environment at scale and validated in that environment. There are many challenges after this activity to develop and implement Process Improvements and to increase Process Understanding (including the resolution of unanticipated processing issues). These challenges all require the application of Chemical Engineering principles and this session is meant to invite papers that cover the applied aspects of such activities. Papers covering both drug substance and drug product applications are also encouraged.
