(603l) The Ion Exchange Proteome of Pseudomonas Fluorescens
Pseudomonas fluorescens is gaining popularity as an expression host for a variety of recombinant DNA products that range in application from therapeutics to industrial enzymes. In this poster, we present a characterization of the sub-proteome of P. fluorescens that interact with ion exchange chromatography. Batch and fed-batch cultures of P. fluorescens that overexpress Green Fluorescent Protein, a model product, provided extracts that were fractionated by DEAE chromatography. The proteins encountered during chromatography were identified, and a strategy was developed to improve GFP recovery (purity and column capacity).
