immiscible polymer blends based on a selective polymer and a highly permeable polymer were prepared as flat membranes and tested for gas separations. Additives such as metal organic frameworks (MOF) function as compatibilizers and were demonstrated to have control over the membane microstructure where the MOF resides at the interface. SEM,TEM amd AFM show a droplect morphology that changes as a function of MOF loading.
