(344c) Accelerating Materials Discovery and Development for Fossil Energy Applications Using High-Throughput Computation
Author
Sholl, D. S. - Presenter, Georgia Institute of Technology
Many technological challenges associated with fossil energy applications require the development of new materials, and this task frequently requires choosing appropriate materials from a very large number of candidate materials. Significant efforts have been made to aid this kind of task by combining predictive materials modeling with high-throughput computational techniques. I will discuss examples of progress in this area and consider the challenges that exist for using computational modeling most efficiently within technology development
