Many of us first “met” Howard Brenner through his written words, most notably those in “Low Reynolds Number Hydrodynamics”. My closing remarks will highlight Howard’s influence on my career via the inspirational standard that he set in 1964, in Chemical Engineering Science 19:703-727.
