Session: Best Practices in Pilot Plants and Process Automation

Piloting of unit operations is key to successful scale-up and commercialization of new processes and products. This session will focus on best practices evolved out challenges encountered in piloting of chemical processes and insights arising out of practical experience in scale-up of processes from pilot to manufacturing scale. Case studies in process automation and its applications in piloting and successful scale-up will also be covered in this session.
