Session: Aqueous Two-Phase Extractions

This session is open to papers dealing with advances in all fundamental and applied aspects of extraction in aqueous two phase systems (ATPS), with special emphasis on the separation of cells, cell debris and biomolecules (macromolecules, primary and secondary metabolites, and natural products). Experimental and theoretical contributions focused on, but not limited to: (a) Phase equilibrium and partitioning, (b) Novel ATPS systems, extraction equipment design and applications, (c) Modeling, simulation, design and optimization of aqueous two phase extraction processes, (d) Case studies and production scale applications, are welcomed.
