(679e) Operation of Energy Efficient Divided Wall Column
Author
Based upon the known design of dividing wall column the required energy usage to run the column is V0 and during operation, actually the column is run at the vapor split ratio Rv that is found to be non- optimal. Here the value of V0 is actually lower than what is required for the separation of three products. This situation is likely to happen more frequently in industrial operation and a condition could be that the available energy to run the column is even lower than the minimum energy required for optimal operation of the column. This study emphasize on analyzing the effect on product compositions in case of the column is operated with the energy lower than the optimal energy required for running the column. For this analysis various simulations has been conducted and the effect on product compositions is examined.
