This session is a special session in honor of Gary Leal's 70th birthday. To begin the session, Professors Gerry Fuller and Howard Stone with present a retrospective of Gary Leal's many contributions. Specifically, they will discuss his key contributions as a researcher but also how he has impacted the fluid mechanics community as a teacher and mentor.
