Organic
solvent
discharged from the plant adversely affect the human body and the
environment
. Therefore, collection
and
removal is an essential operation in
chemical engineering process. We investigated the effect when water vapor contained
in the
feed gas in the solvent recovery in the PSA process. We also analyzed
the columns by MRI when
the experiment was terminated
at a certain time to investigate the adsorption distribution in the column.
Respect to experimental results, create a STOP & GO simulations,
we examined the reproducibility of the experimental results.

The experiments were carried
out
using the experimental
apparatus
of two-column PSA  such as Fig.1, Which was operated by using a programmable controller, set the cycle time purge
step
(20 seconds) and pressurisation (160
seconds) and pressure reduction (20
seconds) and desorption step (160
seconds) , the organic solvent concentration at
a constant
cycle which was measured by gas chromatography. It also analyzed
by
MRI device the experiment was terminated at a constant
cycle in, to
obtain
an adsorption distribution.

It
is a calculation method to do the following with STOP & GO method (Fig. 2) . To think in the N cells the column, making the batch
adsorption Stop the flow at a certain time. And I move to the next cell. It
repeated this operation. It
used three expressions of the material balance equation, equilibrium adsorption, adsorption rate
expression to. Performs
the simulation calculations, it is compared with the measured values.
