(525h) Experimental Solubility Data of Boldine in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Using Ethanol As a Co Solvent

Abstract
New solubility data of Boldine in supercritical carbon dioxide using ethanol as a co-solvent at 333 K and pressures over the critical point of the mixture (solvent + co-solvent) were determined using an equipment based on static-analytic method. Amount of solids dissolved in supercritical solvent were determined on-line by coupling a high performance liquid chromatograph. The sampler uses a six-way two port valve which holds 20 microliters of fluid phase sample. Two calibrated platinum thermometers were used to determinate the average temperature of the mixture inside a cell. A calibrated pressure sensor was used to monitor the pressure in the system. The HPLC detector was calibrated using Boldine (certified purity of 0.99 mole fraction), the standard solution was prepared by dissolving 1000 ppm of Boldine in HPLC-grade methanol. Each data was obtained after getting the chemical, mechanical and thermal equilibrium. These data were compared with data obtained using supercritical carbon dioxide as a solvent.
