(181aq) Compressed Liquid Densities for Carminic Acid + Ethanol in the Temperature Range of (313 to 363) K
Thermodynamic properties obtained through experimentation are the fundamental basis for the development of models used to represent and predict the behavior of fluids. Volumetric properties are important in chemical engineering for the design, simulation and optimization of separation processes. This work presents density measurements for the binary mixture (carminic acid + ethanol) at temperatures from (313 to 363) K and pressures from (10 to 200) bar using a commercial vibrating tube densimeter (VTD) from Anton Paar calibrated with water and nitrogen as reference fluids. The VTD was connected through a tubing line to a loading cell in order to perform density measurements for the studied system. A needle valve allows the homogeneous fluid contained in the loading cell to flow and fill the VTD. The method used was the static synthetic. In order to observe directly the system behavior, the experimental vibrating period, temperature and pressure are registered and plotted using a data acquisition program (Agilent, VEE 7.0). The multimeter, temperature indicator and evaluation unit are communicated with the computer through RS-232/Bluetooth and a multi-parallel RS-232/USB serial interface adapter (Model: 2403, Sealevel) Experimental data were correlated with 6-parameter equation.
