The objective of this study is to extend the viable preservation time of hepatic tissues by sub-zero non-freezing (SZNF) storage in a supercooled preservation medium. The hypothesis here is that the preserved liver viability is correlated strongly to metabolic activity. In this session I will discuss our efforts on this alternative preservation scheme with results from both in-vitro and invivo studies.
