Polymer nanocomposite films incorporated with WO3 nanoparticles were electropolymerized through monomer and WO3 suspended solution on Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coated glass. The monomer has a structural motif of R-X-R, with R= Diphenylamine end-group and X=Naphthalene diimide group. The UV-Visible incorporated electrochemical spectroscopies coupled with amperometry were also studied on the composite films as they display different colors under different applied potentials in the range of 0-2 V vs. Ag/AgCl. These films were also characterized by FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopies, the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was shown that many of these WO3 nanoparticless were uniformly distributed in the polymeric matrix by microscopy and SEM. An air-stable Electrochromical window was also assembled and obtained by a home-made electrochemical cell and it shows stable electrochromis even after 100 times scan.
