(187h) Recent Advances In Selected Types of Sustainable Building Materials

The purpose of this presentation is to review developments in masonry and polymeric building materials that

are identified as sustainable.  Materials  reported in reviewed journals, government reports and commercial

literature published  since 2007 are reviewed.   The anticipated results are trends in sustainable building material

usage in  different locations in the United States and  a few oversea countries,  changes in the use of masonry, and usage of ploymers.  Polymers includes synthetic and natural (biopolymers) materials.

The anticipated results should indicate future  consumption of sustainable building materials and research needs.
