Session: Simulation of Complex Subsurface Processes I

Computer simulation of multiphase reactive transport in porous media covers a number of applications; oil and gas production from conventional and unconventional formations, carbon dioxide flooding and sequestration, underground thermal treatment and geothermal production to name a few. Models require integration of the principles of multicomponent thermodynamics, multiphase flow, reactions, mass and heat transfer. The problems which are solved in complex, heterogeneous geologic domains are numerically complicated. In this session we seek papers on innovative approaches for solving reactive transport problems in porous media.
