Session: Control and Optimization of Multiscale Systems

Many processes in chemical engineering are governed by phenomena occurring over time and length scales that differ by several orders of magnitude. Bridging these scales with integrated, multi-scale models is a challenging problem, but such models are needed for control and optimization. Submissions are solicited on novel approaches towards control and optimization of such multi-scale process systems. Submissions on applications of multiscale control and optimization approaches to novel chemical and biological processes are also encouraged.
