2010 Annual Meeting

Session: Communication and Collaboration

ABET explicitly states in its criteria for accreditation that chemical engineering programs must ensure that students can communicate effectively (3g) and that students must be able to function on multi-disciplinary teams (3d). This session solicits presentations on how departments accomplish these goals. Presentations are invited that address innovative courses or assignments within the curriculum; effective ways to handle project teams (including teams between departments or universities, as well as the use of on-line document management tools); novel uses of social networking; and incorporation of on-campus resources to facilitate effective communication, or other relevant topics.
