Session: Challenges in Small Scale Syngas Pilot Plants

Syngas applications are experiencing renewed interest with recent initiatives to develop renewable fuels and to secure alternate sources of fuel. Many gasification processes are new or have undergone recent innovations, as gasification of various feedstocks present their own unique challenges. The focus of this session will be on the innovations and unique challenges present in the lab, pilot, and demonstration scale development of technologies to gasify a wide range of feedstocks.
