Session: Application of Green Chemical Engineering Approaches to Improve Sustainability in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Examples of Process Development strategies that illustrate the design of sustainable pharmaceutical processes are encouraged in this session. Processes that are designed to be cheaper, faster, cleaner and sustainable from the perspective of being more material- and energy-efficient, inherently safer, and that minimize the life cycle impacts on the environment. Examples of where continuous processing was used to leverage sustainability are also encouraged.
