Safe Processing of Energetic Materials is contingent to understanding and controlling the following stimuli in the process: Electrical, Electro-Static Discharge (ESD), Friction, Impact, Impingement, Shock and Thermal (including chemical reactions). This presentation will briefly discuss these various stimuli, how they can result in the accidental initiation of energetic materials and how they can be managed.
