- (623e) Synthesis of Novel Mesoporous Adsorbent for Ultra-Deep Desulfurization of Hydrotreated Diesel by Structure-Directing Method
Abstract Adsorption desulfurization can be operated under ambient conditions, a green process, to produce ultra-deep sulfur diesel. Mesoporous aluminosilicates (MAS) were synthesized by structure-directing method with zeolite NaY as precursor and applied as ultra-deep desulfurization adsorbents for hydrotreated diesel. The effect of aging time of NaY precursor on desulfurization properties was thoroughly studied. MAS were modified by direct-assembly of superparamagnetic particles Fe3O4. The optimal content of Fe3O4 in magnetic mesoporous aluminosilicates (MMAS) was 15.23%. The sulfur adsorption of MMAS was due to the synergetic effect of strong molecular affinity of the magnetite to the sulfur compound and large surface area/pore volume of the mesoporous aluminosilicates.
