- (571f) Lab Scale Modular Automated Drop On Demand System: Design Principle and
The overall goal of an integrated drop on demand (DoD) system is the ability to predict and control deposition of pharmaceutical substances onto biopolymeric substrates. In addition , the drop on demand technology will be utilized to engineer two and three-dimensional dosage structures as drug deliver systems. Precise, repeatable, and accurate dosing is needed to ensure that the dosage structures and overall drug delivery systems are efficient. To achieve the desired goals the design strategy of any DoD system must account for the varied process parameters that can affect droplet evaporation, drying, spreading, and droplet splat formation
