Silver nanoparticles, as a result of their significant applications in nano-technology and nano-biotechnology, have become the target of major interest in antibacterial textile, microelectronics, and optoelectronic devices. We reported a soft templates method to synthesize triangle silver nanoplates, the composition of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) had a marked effect on the growth of the silver nanoparticles. In a typical progress, ammoniated silver ions were reduced by sodium borohydride in aqueous solution of SDS-PVP. The size and morphology of silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Vis, XRD and TEM.
