In this talk I will present a nanocrystal processing platform that allows the transformation of colloidal nanocrystals solids into free-standing all-inorganic and flexible nanocomposites possessing all the size-dependent properties of their building blocks. By the use of templates it is possible to generate such composites in any arbitrary shape. Furthermore, the use of binary mixtures of nanocrystals with different properties allows to precisely engineer the function of the final nanocomposite.
